Refund Policy
This page forms part of the terms of service and covers subscription payments made to Claypath.
The refund window
Ask inside the window and you get the whole payment back, with no reason required. How long the window is depends on which payment it was.
- Your first payment: 14 days. This is the trial you did not have to take. It is also the statutory cooling-off period if you are a consumer in the UK or EU, and section 05 covers that.
- Every renewal after it: 3 days. Enough to catch a renewal you did not see coming, which is what it is for.
A refund returns the payment you are asking about, not everything you have ever paid.
How to ask
Your first payment. Use the withdrawal form. Signed in, it checks the window, refunds the payment on the spot and ends the subscription without anyone reading an email. You can also use it without signing in, and then it records your request and the refund follows by email.
A renewal. Email support@clay-path.com from the address on your account within 3 days of the renewal and say you want a refund. The withdrawal form covers the first payment only.
Either way the money goes back to the card that paid it, and your bank generally takes a few days to show it.
Your subscription ends when the refund is issued, and the account returns to the free tier.
Cancelling instead
Cancelling stops the next payment and keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for. It needs no email: cancel from your account whenever you like, and undo it from the same place any time before the date arrives.
Ask for a refund when you want the money back instead. That ends your access straight away.
Once the window has passed
Outside the window a payment is not normally refunded. There are two exceptions, and they apply however long ago you paid:
- Claypath was broken. If the service was unavailable or not working for a meaningful stretch of a period you paid for, that time is refunded.
- Something changed for the worse. If a paid feature is withdrawn or materially reduced during a period you paid for, the unused part is refunded.
If you are in the UK or EU
You have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within 14 days of entering into the contract. That is your first payment, and section 01 gives you exactly that period for it. The 3-day window on renewals is something this policy adds on top: the statutory right applies to the contract you entered, not to each renewal of it.
Nothing on this page limits your statutory rights. If they give you more than this policy does in some situation, they win.
Charges you do not recognise
Email support@clay-path.com before contacting your bank. A chargeback takes weeks to resolve; an email is usually sorted the same day.
